Deep sea FISHING In OCMD

If you’re ready to book an offshore fishing charter in Ocean City, Miss Alex is ready to take you there. She’s a 2024 Grady White 281 Coastal Explorer—a serious offshore fishing machine that runs from 40 to 60 miles out, putting you on mahi, tuna, wahoo, white marlin, tilefish, and sea bass depending on the season and conditions.

What makes Saltwater Adventures offshore charters different? It’s simple: Capt. Tony wants you to catch fish, learn something new, and have a great day on the water. Whether you’ve never been offshore or you’re a seasoned angler looking to deep drop for tilefish or troll the canyons, Tony tailors every charter to your group. You’re fishing with a maximum of 3 anglers, a USCG-licensed captain, and a mate—this is a private, hands-on experience, not a crowded head boat.

This charter is recommended for anglers who have fished before, if you are new to fishing or anyone in your party is new to fishing or boating there might be better options.

💡 Captain Tony’s Tip – Before You Book — Motion Sickness

Offshore trips mean open ocean, and open ocean means swells. This is different from bay fishing or even nearshore trips. Motion sickness can ruin your trip. Even if you don’t normally get sick, it is very wise to take something. Think of it as trip insurance. Capt. Tony has seen the best results with the brand Bonine. Always consult with your physician first before taking any medication.

Great time on the water!

6 Hour Trip with Captain Tony  on July 8, 2023 · 3 adults

We had a great trip with Captain Tony! He is very knowledgeable and made the day memorable. We caught at least 40-50 sea-bass, a handful of trigger fish and a couple flounder. 15 keepers! Once back at the marina, Captain Tony cleaned the fish and we took them to Fishtails, where they prepared an awesome lunch for us. It was a great experience and we will definitely be booking again in the future.

Great Adventure!

Saltwater Adventure 6 Hour Trip on September 7, 2023  2 adults

Captain Tony was phenomenal, and sought to get us exactly what we came to catch! We wanted to catch Mahi-Mahi so badly, and luckily the water conditions were great and he took us out further and found us some Mahi to catch! The restaurant, Fish Tales, right off the pier will cook your fish for you too- either fried or blacked, and it was awesome. We also caught flounder, and Captain gave us a recipe to prepare it! This was a great charter all-in-all and we would def book again with Saltwater Adventure!

Meet the Miss Alex

The Miss Alex is a brand new 2024 Grady White 281 Coastal Explorer—a purpose-built offshore center console that’s right at home running 60 miles into the Atlantic. Grady White has been building boats since 1959, and the 281 CE is one of their most capable offshore platforms. She’s equipped with top-of-the-line electronics for navigation and fish finding, and Tony keeps her stocked with premium tackle for both trolling and deep dropping.

With a maximum of 3 anglers plus the captain and mate, you’ve got plenty of room to fish comfortably and move around the cockpit. This isn’t a packed party boat—it’s a private charter with the space and the equipment to do it right. The Miss Alex is licensed, insured, and inspected with a USCG captain aboard every trip.

What You Can Expect

Tony’s been running Ocean City fishing charters since 2007 and has logged 247 days offshore and well over 2,800 total days on the water. He knows where the fish are, how the conditions affect the bite, and how to adapt when the plan needs to change. But more importantly, he loves sharing that knowledge with you.

On trolling trips, you’ll deploy lines behind the boat with a spread of lures and teasers while Tony works the offshore structure—temperature breaks, weed lines, current edges, and underwater ridges. If you’ve never caught a mahi or tuna before, Tony and his mate will make sure you know exactly what to do.

On deep dropping trips, the technique shifts completely. You’re fishing with both conventional and electric reels depending on the depth. Tony uses his electronics to find the right bottom structure where tilefish and deep-water sea bass hold. It’s a different kind of fishing—patient and technical—but when you start pulling up tilefish from 280-380 feet, you’ll understand why people get hooked on it. Excellent table fare too.

Before each trip, Tony will call you to discuss the game plan—what conditions look like, what species are realistic, and what to expect. If conditions aren’t favorable, he’ll tell you straight and work with you to reschedule. He’d rather put you on a great day than take your money on a rough one.
